4P5 ~ Planning for Personnel Changes
See 5P10 for our current work on developing a succession plan for administration based on our Strategic Plan.
The Employee Relations Office works to prepare for changing personnel in a changing world. They help create a culture that develops, utilizes, and values the talents of a diverse employee population working together in support of MATC's goals. We support and implement the equal opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity initiatives of the district. In our Affirmative Action Five-Year Plan and the Affirmative Action Annual Update, this office develops, implements, and monitors the district Affirmative Action programs to achieve a balanced workforce with representation of minorities, females, disabled persons, and other protected classes at or above their representation in MATC's relevant labor market. Divisions develop and update annual plans and activities for increasing representation of protected classes in their respective Divisions when hiring. Figure 4.1 provides data on the diversity of employees at MATC while Figure 4.2 offers the gender distribution achieved through our hiring practices.
