4R4 ~ Compare Results of "Valuing People" to Others
According to a report issued by the State of Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau (LAB) in 2007, MATC’s pay and benefits schedules were among the best offered among the 16 technical colleges in the state of Wisconsin and in the University of Wisconsin system. Figure 4.13 depicts specific examples of these comparisons.
We invest in the training of our faculty at a highly competitive rate compared to the other Wisconsin technical colleges. Figure 4.14 shows our 2008 ranking in comparison with 15 other districts. While restricted to one year for clarity, we do have and use 3-year trend data.
Compared to other community colleges nationwide, our employees are more likely to stay at MATC until retirement. Figure 4.15 shows how we compare with roughly 200 two-year institutions nationwide; it also demonstrates that we are investing in our employees through training initiatives at a competitive rate.
