The Dislocated Workers Learning Center
MATC operates a learning center in partnership with the HIRE Center, open to the general community.  The centers allow you to decide which subjects you want to study, develop an individualized learning plan with the assistance of an on-site instructor, and work at your own pace and schedule.  They help you earn a GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).  The center operates in cooperation with the Milwaukee County Private Industry Council, Wisconsin State AFL-CIO, the Milwaukee County Labor Council, and the United Way.  For more information call the HIRE Center, at 414-385-6920; or MATC, 414-297-6752.
