Google has a video conferencing version called Meet which is very easy to use.  So instead of using Google Hangouts, I've decided to use Google Meet instead.  It has worked great with Chrome (another Google product) but also with Microsoft's Edge browser and Apple's Safari browser.

 The way it works is all you do is click on an email link I send to you as an invite.  That's it!
