Logging into Blackboard
Students log into the MATC portal, Blackboard, school email, and campus computers using their MATC network account username and password.
Are You a New Student?
When you become a student at MATC, you will recieve an email containing information about your MATC network account, which you will use to log into college email, Blackboard, and other applications.
Please Note
- Your Blackboard access begins 24 hours after the time you register for a course.
- Before logging into Blackboard for the first time, log into your MATC Gmail account.

Are You a Returning Student?
If you do not remember what your username or password is, go to the online Password Manager and use the "Forgotten Username" or "Forgotten Password" tool. To retrieve your username, you will need your 7 digit MATC ID number, as found on your Stormer Card or class schedule.
Where do I Find Blackboard?
You may log into Blackboard with your MATC account in several ways. Use the path that is most convenient for you.
- Route 1: Log into the MATC portal and use the Blackboard module's links to view your courses.
- Route 2: Go to the MATC homepage and click the Blackboard link found in the QuickLinks bar at the top of the page. On the Blackboard home page, log in with your MATC network account.
- Route 3: In your browser's address bar, type this url: blackboard.matc.edu and push your keyboard's "enter" button. On the
Blackboard home page, log in with your MATC network account.
What Do I Do If I Can't Log In?
If you can't log into Blackboard, please call the Helpdesk at (414)-297-6541. Only the Helpdesk can resolve a login problem.
Also, it is important to be sure you are using Blackboard compatible Web browser. ISP specific web browsers, such as America Online and MSN are not compatible with Blackboard and may produce various login error messages.
When Do Passwords Expire?
Your MATC network account expires every 180 days. You will receive notifications at your MATC Gmail account at 15 days, 5 days and 3 days, prompting you to change your password.
You may update your password by using the online Password Manager. If you have forgotten your password or have never used the Password Manager before, you will need to contact Helpdesk at (414)-297-6541 for assistance.
