Blackboard Help

Blackboard (Bb) is MATC's Learning Management System (LMS). Students use Blackboard to access online course content. Instructors who teach blended courses with content delivered both online and face-to-face, and instructors who teach face-to-face, will also utilize Bb for the course syllabus and other resources.

How Do I Access Blackboard?

When you become a student at MATC, you will recieve information about your MATC network account, which you will use to log into college email, Blackboard, and other applications. Once you recieve your MATC network account username and password, you may access Blackboard in the following ways:

  • Log into the  MATC Portal and click on the course links provided in its Blackboard module.
  • Use the Blackboard link on on the MATC home page and log into Blackboard directly.
  • Download the Blackboard App to your mobile device to view grades and mobile-supported content.

When Will My Course Become Available?

Course enrollments appear on Blackboard's Courses page within 24 hours after registration. If you do not see a course you are enrolled in listed on the Courses page, check your Course List filter settings.

Courses are initially marked as "Private" in Blackboard until the instructor makes them available to students by the course start date listed in INFOnline. If a course does not become available by its start date, contact your instructor directly! Instructor contact information can be found by reviewing your course information in Self-Service.

Career Essentials are seven (7) soft-skill competencies that program students must be able to demonstrate by the time they complete a program. Every program course includes an assessment aligned to one (1) Career Essential, facilitated through Blackboard. The results of this assessment process will indicate where students are at any point in their progress throughout their time at MATC. Your MATC Network acccount's password will expire and must be changed every 180 days. You will receive an email at your MATC Gmail account warning you at 15 days, 5 days and 3 days. You may use the online Password Manager to change your password. Otherwise, please call the Help Desk at 414-297-6541 for assistance.
