MATC Gmail Help

Your MATC Gmail account will be your primary means of communication with your instructors and college services. All students log into MATC Gmail using their MATC network account username and password.

How Do I Access My MATC Gmail?

Once you recieve your MATC Network username and password, you may log into the MATC Portal to access your MATC Gmail.

  • New students - Activate your MATC network account to receive your username and password. You will use this login to access MATC Gmail, Blackboard, MATC desktops, and more. Your email address will be your MATC Network username
  • Continuing/Returning Students - If you do not remember what your login is, go to the Online Password Manager and use the "Forgotten Username" or "Forgotten Password" links.

How Do I Use Google Apps?

All students and instructors have access to a suite of free Google Apps for office productivity and communication when they log into their MATC Gmail. To learn more, please view the presentation and tutorials below.

Password Management & Expiration

Your myMATC acccount's password will expire and must be changed every 180 days. You will receive an email at your MATC Gmail account warning you at 15 days, 5 days and 3 days.

If, when you activated your myMATC Account, you set-up your two security questions, you may use the online Password Manager to change your password. Otherwise, please call the Help Desk at 414-297-6541 for assistance.

How Do I Fix a Login Problem?

Call the Help Desk at (414) 297-6541 or use the Online Password Manager to retrieve or reset your username and password.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If you have your own personal Gmail account, make sure that you log out of it before accessing your MATC Gmail through the MATC Portal.
  • If you have difficulty finding messages in your Gmail, turn off your Gmail's Conversation View and use your Gmail Search tools.
  • Check your Gmail's Spam folder for course-related messages sent from your instructor and mark them as "Not Spam".
  • To sort and organize messages in your Gmail, use Gmail Labels. In Gmail, labels are like folders.
